The road connecting Simeria with Petroșani (DN66) arrives at the foot of the Piatra Cetăţii. From this point, a narrow path doubles the rail road and leads to the lower terraces of the fortress. Here, the slope becomes very steep and the access to the archaeological site is extremely difficult, in some cases even dangerous.
