The access to the monuments of Costeşti is quite easy from the village of Costeşti (commune of Orăştioara de Sus, Hunedoara county) following the 705 A county road (20 km) from the city of Orăştie. Near the tourist cabin of Costeşti the asphalt road ends in a stone-paved road continuing towards Grădiştea de Munte. In the same location there is a crossroad from which a stone-paved road starts towards Dealul Cetăţuiei passing near the headquarters of the Mountain Gendarmery. The trail is marked by white squares with a yellow cross in the middle. The hike lasts for approximately 10 minutes by car or 30 minutes by foot. The last part of the trail is accessible only by foot.
